All procedures, from the receipt of raw plates to the shipment of raw plates or processed plates, are subject to our strict quality standards. When plates are being processed, each plate undergoes a thorough quality control at every step of the machining. Besides visual inspection, we use modern gauging tools and carefully document all findings in a data folder which accompanies each and every plate. With an extremely high focus on quality, PN Steel´s suppliers are certified in accordance with ISO9001 and EN1090. This ensures consistently high quality as well as a unique system to ensure full traceability of all steel plates throughout the supply chain.

Due to the strict safety measures for wind turbines and other industries when it comes to hazardous substances, we are obliged to supply full quality documentation with each plate. Our quality assurance programme is constantly improved in order to fulfil the increasingly stringent quality requirements.
Traceability – EN 1090
As part of our quality assurance programme by processing, we work with full traceability for all steel plates and orders. Upon receipt of a delivery, we register every plate by reusing the bar code, die stamp and ID mark already printed on the plates by our suppliers. This way, we ensure full traceability throughout the supply chain, as well as full traceability from the rolling mill to delivery of the profiled plate.
We also ensure the quality of internal and external logistics, thus maintaining full traceability of all plates and orders. We are able to operate with the bar codes and identification labels already printed on the plates by the supplier. Our suppliers are certified according to EN 1090.
Manage your MTC´s
As a natural part of our services, we manage all Material Test Certificates. When a shipment is dispatched from PN Steel, we send the customer and other stakeholders current delivery notes, CE documents and upload of the Material Test Certificate to the end user’s database.
All customers thus enjoy a complete service, where all documentation is managed by PN Steel.
